Road Bike

Ok so about every 6 months I actually update my blog....it takes so long mainly because i have no life to blog about. I bought a road bike this year because I wanted to compete in some triathlons in hope of getting back into shape. Unfortunately that didn't work out so well this summer but I still love my bike and hope to do some more triathlons next summer.


There are a bunch of "rail trails" in NY that make for great bike rides. It was a beautiful day today so mom, dad, and myself got the bikes and went to the trail for a wonderful afternoon. I love the fall.......

I really do love going on a bike ride....I stayed with mom and dad so it was relaxing

This was part of the Hudson Valley Triathlon that i attempted to do ....it didn't work out so well mainly due to a massive migraine...but oh well

I actually did really well on the swim, I was about the fourth or fifth girl out of the water.

I'm pretty good at strectching huh....haha... I'm so lazy

this was before the race....i'm wearing a different triathlon shirt that i didn't get to compete in bc i was in the hospital.....I know....lame excuse

thats my pile of crap that i eventually organized so i wouldn't spend that much time in the transition area....i was tired so i still spent a lot of time in the transition area.. haha

I do enjoy triathlons and I'm glad i have the bike and a good racing wet suit so I have something to keep me motivated to get into shape!

My new Job!

So I finally got a full time job. I would never have guessed that I would be working in an OB/GYN office. I also never would have guessed I'd like it as much as I do. I work at Women's Medical Group in Newburgh. They have a ton of doctors, NP's, and staff. Everyone is easy to get along with. I'm having a lot of fun learning about an area I don't know much about. They have a triage nurse, and a small legit OR where they perform Hysterectomy's, ablations and more. All is lapriscopically, no cutting : ( I pretty content no matter where I work but this one has such a variety to it. It's a lot of fun! Plus I'm learning quick and have to say I'm pretty good at it too.

Pampered Chef

So mom, dad, and I picked out some meals from pampered chef and decided to try some of them out. We have tried 3 of them so far and have ingredients for a couple more. They're actually kind of fun. This one is the Taco Ring, I picked it out and made most of it, dad just messed up the meat : ) probably could have taken it out of the oven a little sooner, but it was good. I don't think i've made anything that looked cool like this so I took some pics.

Ummm it snowed !

To say the least it snowed in NY. Our house got over 2 feet of snow. Power went out on Thursday at our house and didn't come back on until today sunday. I haven't had internet so I've been seperated from the world. Luckily we have a generator so we didn't have it that bad. The snow had a blue tint to it in the cracks which i've learned means its glacier snow or wet snow. It is a very heavy snow. All the trees branches are weighed down to the ground. A ton of trees broke, we had to clear them out of the driveway so we could have it plowed. I am definately out of shape. Walking in 2 feet of snow is hard enough. but carrying trees as well wears me out quickly. We had some good family time. becky keith and the kids came and were stuck in the snow with us. It was fun, but I'm glad its over and i'm ready for the snow to be gone. The snow is plowed so high that you can't see around corners when you're driving. Anyways.... enjoy the picks!

oops!!!

So my friend from church asked me to babysit her kids today, since I don't have a job right now. I said sure, why not. They have a new house dog that's not potty trained, kept peeing all over even though i let her out every hour!! anyways two of the kids are at school and 2 are home with me. The baby is getting cranky but i got to keep her awake until I pick eden up from the bus. So I get the kids in jackets and head to the end of the road. we wait ten minutes for the bus, its king of cold out. So I hurry the kids back to the door only to find out that it's locked!! Yep the babysitter got locked out of the house with 3 kids under 5 yrs old. I called the mom and she didn't answer and i don't have the dad's number. But my dad does, so I got hold of dad who then called their dad and he came home from work to let us in : ) They have a really old door and there is a tiny button that gets hit when the kids pull the door shut....I didn't know. Luckily he only works like 10 mins away. the kids got some fresh air and exercise on their scooters. No harm done!!

i'll miss my couch!!

IM MOVING BACK TO NEW YORK!!!!!! but the sad news is moving trucks are way too expensive!!! so i have to sell my beds and couch and my poor honda is gonna have to pull a little trailer across the country again. I love this couch!! it was soooo comfortable. but oh well. the great news is i don't have to drive across the country alone this time!! kendra made her decision right away to come with, mainly to see deisel, but i think she'll be happy to see mom and dad too. Adam was his typical self and said yes and was excited at first, then said no, and finally decided to come again. yay so adam and maranda are coming too!! because we have 4 drivers we'll prob just go straight through. i think it will be a blast. i'm excited to live with mom and dad again.
